VE day party

In the past VE day has been a time to get together and to celebrate with our friends and family. Due to lockdown we are unable to do this but we are all finding different ways to mark the occasion in our own homes. Look at the variety of ways that the Abbey community are celebrating VE day during lockdown.

The Abbey staff have been celebrating VE day in their own ways.

Mrs Pegler is having a fabulous tea party!

Mrs Smedley's family have enjoyed spam sandwiches

followed by jelly and tinned fruit. Traditional 1940s food.

We love the decorations.

Just look at Mrs Passey's baking. These scones

are making me feel hungry!

Mrs Horton has been been busy baking too. Afternoon tea in the Horton household looks delicious.

Mrs McCann and her family are getting into the spirit of things.

Mrs Lawlor and her children certainly look the part!

While I was at work, the rest of the Horton household enjoyed a VE Day picnic. Save some for me!
