When should we apply for a school place?

If your child was born between 1 September 2018 and 31 August 2019, then you have until 15 January 2023 to submit your application for their primary school place in Reception. There’s a range of useful information on the Warwickshire County Council website to help you apply, including a list of all local schools, a priority area map and a handy video to help you make realistic choices of schools. Elm Class Resource Provision - Admission Arrangements

Elm Class is a Warwickshire Resource Provision based within Abbey CofE Infant School which allows children to attend mainstream school, whilst accessing specialist provision. Elm meets the needs of children with communication and interaction (C&I) needs including autistic spectrum conditions (ASC) and speech, language and communication needs (SLCN).  Children in this provision will all have an Education, Health and Care plan and placement is agreed by the Local Authority Provision Panel.

Our nursery admissions for Squirrels and Owls rooms are allocated by the Headteacher (Mrs R. Horton)  Please contact the school office to check on availability of spaces        tel: 02476386101

Admissions to the Owl room are allocated on a school year basis , with the children who will be starting school the following academic year as a priority . This is alongside reach area criteria first - all other places will be allocated if there is the appropriate space .

NB: Allocation of a space in the OWL room does NOT mean you will be allocated a space at the school. School places are allocated by the School Admissions team at Warwickshire County Council and are not influenced by which nursery your child attends (see Admissions Criteria for School))
