Starting School

Hello everyone! My name is Mrs Horton and I am the headteacher of Abbey Infants School. I am really looking forward to meeting you all and welcoming you to the Abbey School Community. We will be adding lots of photos and other information to this page so keep checking back to find out more. If you have any questions please give us a call or send us an email. Our friendly staff are here to help.

Hello!  I am Miss Boulstridge and I am the Deputy Head and Special Educational Needs Coordinator (SENCo) at Abbey Infant School.  I can’t wait to meet you all.

At our school we aim to meet the needs of all children.  The school works hard to support all the children and each child’s progress is regularly reviewed.  We like to involve parents with all aspects of their child’s learning.  If your child already has some extra support at their nursery or you think your child might need some extra help when they start school then please give me a call.  We can put things in place to ensure your child has a happy, supported and positive start to their school career.

Our School Meals

All children in Reception, Years 1 and 2 are offered a free school lunch.  At Abbey we offer a choice of a hot or cold deli bag option. We offer a choice of milk or water to drink. Please see examples of some our previous menus below.

Children also have the option of bringing their own packed lunch from home if they prefer.
